Jean Fraser

With over 40 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Fraser shares her love of this subject through both art education and creative projects. From renaissance to modernism, and watercolor to 3-dimensional forms – her enthusiasm for diverse expressions of creativity gives her students a wide exposure to the world of art. Her philosophy is “embrace the messiness,” an inevitable component of elementary-age art projects, but also a concept that understands that beauty is created from mess! Mrs. Fraser strives to make every student feel successful in his or her art work by providing personalized instruction and encouragement. 

She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce (formerly East Texas State) and most recently spent 14 years as the art teacher at Highlander School. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two super sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and four awesome grandkids.
