Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-Kindergarten will be taught by Mrs. Deborah Janowski in the 2023-24 school year. Mrs. Janowski has 14 years of teaching experience.

About Pre-Kindergarten at Highlands Christian

It is time to prepare your child’s readiness for their academic endeavor. As children at this age are curious and eager to add more into their days, our Pre-Kindergarten program is a beautiful and innocent place to begin their time in the classroom. We are preparing these students both socially and academically for next year’s Kindergarten studies with purposeful and nurturing instruction.

They will focus on initial consonant sounds, numerical concepts, shapes, colors, nursery rhymes, and Biblical truths. Practicing good manners, sharing, communication, friendship, and respect will also help them develop confidence and good citizenship.

Your Pre-Kindergarten student’s day is sprinkled with fun, engaging subjects and activities.

Children must be 4 years old by September 1.

There are two options for Pre-Kindergarten: 

Three half days plus enrichment

This option meets 2 half days and 1 full day. The school day begins at 8:30 Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Students are picked up after lunch at 11:55 on Monday and Tuesday. Thursdays are packed with extra enrichment activities and pick up is at 2:55 on that day.

Three full days

This option meets three full days. The school day begins at 8:30 Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Students are picked up at 2:55 each day.
