First and foremost, Mrs. Burum believes that teaching should be fun! During her 27 years in education, she has learned that effectiveness in the classroom begins with knowing how to balance grace and classroom management. Mrs. Burum understands that when you teach little people, they actually teach you. “When you practice being patient and listening to them, there’s laughter and wisdom in that,” says Mrs. Burum. 

Mrs. Burum holds a B.S. in Education with a specialization in reading. She is an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)-trained certification team member and has served at two different schools in the position of curriculum alignment. Mrs. Burum loves to keep busy with her big, beautiful family — three daughters, three sons-in-law and eight grandkids!
